What is eyebrows threading?
It is performed by shaping the eyebrow with a cotton thread. Threading is more precise in shaping eyebrows; you can remove a single hair with the thread.
What is the difference between threading and waxing?
If the eyebrow is being waxed, the waxing is done in "one big strip.” If a client is using or has used Retin-A, Tetracycline, Accutane, the waxing service cannot be performed. However, threading is a natural, non-chemical process. There is no pulling of delicate skin. Unlike waxing, when the hair grows back it does not grow in different directions; it grows relaxed and flat against the skin.
Does threading hurt?
Taking hair out of the skin is not very pleasing. However, after 2 or 3 times people get more comfortable. The more you get it done, the more comfortable it is.
How long does it take?
Approximately, 5-10 minutes
How often do I need to get threading?
It lasts about 2-4 weeks. So it depends on your hair growth, but it does not grow back fast.
With threading, does the hair grow back thicker/coarse?
No, because the hair is being removed from follicle. It will remove the finest hair from the root leaving the skin smooth.
I have very sensitive skin. Should I do threading?
Yes. Normally people who have sensitive skin can get some redness at first. If
a person’s skin is red we use aloe vera which is helpful in decreasing the redness.
